Yesterday, arrived late from palermo, I finally got the chance to meet my youngest brother M. around 6 in the evening. We walked in Florence, we took picture on the old bridge, we passed by Palazzo Pitti, Santo Spirito and Carmine church and finally we reached the restaurant, L'Antico Ristoro del Cambi.
We had a lot of talking, drinking and eating. We exchange a lot of stories and update each other about the past 6 months. He told me about the concert of my cousin where he got free ticket and the best possible seats he told me about the birthday and retirement party he organized for P.K., we talked about life and the past. How the fate and the path of life can intertwine. Lot of nice talkings, lot of nice thoughts. He said an interesting thing about the fact that if me and A., who (a di-rector meets a rector) he met before me, were chosen by M. to be his friends among a bunch of thousands italian people, there must be a reason, and he knows the reason. It is the best compliment i have ever had. We also joked about my being a doormat, and yesterday during the conversation more than once i was diminuishing myself and not recognize my positive qualities. But it is well known that a doormat never likes compliments. It was really a nice evening. What else I can say apart that i am so glad we are friends and that over the years we know so well each other that from two lines of one mail we understand what's up.
Do you miss the olive oil.
I wrote on a piece of paper the proverb he forgot about
